The annual Seend Summer Fete is a much-loved celebration of English tradition and a fantastic day out for all the family! Set on the Lye Recreation Field, this vibrant event is at the heart of the Seend community. The field and its Pavilion are owned and maintained by the community and serve as a hub for local organisations, including Seend Playgroup, Wessex Fuchsia Club, the Women’s Institute, Wiltshire Astronomy Group, and Future of Football.
The Fete plays a vital role in raising the funds needed to keep this wonderful facility thriving. It’s thanks to the dedication of the charitable trust and its incredible team of volunteers - who mow the playing fields, clean, paint, and tackle plumbing - that the grounds remain in top condition and available for all to enjoy. With traditional games, stalls, entertainment, and plenty of village charm, the Seend Summer Fete helps keep this cherished space at the heart of community life.
